GALEX-SDSS photometric redshifts: Comparison zphot zspec

We show here the photometric redshitfs we obtain for the SDSS spectroscopic counterparts.

The following plots present zphot vs zspec for the spectroscopic galaxies, using lephare (left) or polyfit (right).

The empirical method gives better results than the template-fitting one, whith an error of ~0.028. We use hereafter the redshifts computed with polyfit.

Qsos

The following plots present zphot vs zspec for the spectroscopic galaxies, using lephare.

The 'lines' in the y direction come from the redshift grid used by lephare. The qsos templates should be improved in a next future, using GALEX photometry for known SDSS spectroscopic qsos.
